First Look: Aerial Photographs

The first thing I always like to do when Mary sends us a new listing is to check it out in Google Earth, Google Maps (hopefully there’s a Street View) and also MSN Maps – because they have an awesome “Birdseye” feature that the others don’t have. You can get pictures of just about any place from four different viewpoints.

For 822 Wilmington, when I first saw these Birdseye images, I couldn’t figure out what was going on on the roof. It wasn’t until later that I could see that it’s the original parapet of the smaller/original building that shows up as an outline of the old footprint.

It’s also a good viewpoint to see how this building just dominates all of the other smaller houses in the neighborhood.
