Congratulations to the Alberti Program!
Over the years, we’ve posted about the Alberti Program at Washington University, and how we’ve talked about our project to the students. What started out as a little community outreach program has grown to touch the lives of many potential architects. Now, a number of Albert Program ‘graduates’ have actually gone on to architecture school. It has been very inspiring for us to be involved and use our project to teach about creative problem solving with these kids.

They modeled our apartment. Wish we thought to color the stair treads.
Now for the really good news: The Alberti Program is being honored by the American Institute of Architects (AIA) with the 2016 AIA Diversity Recognition Program. The award will be presented at the upcoming AIA National Convention in Philadelphia. Tom and I are so pleased that we will be there to celebrate this well-deserved recognition!
