Nice Day for a Dump Run

Today was a beautiful Spring day! It was one of those days, with the trees and bulbs in full bloom, bright sun, light breeze, that makes us think of ways to be outside. How about a dump run? As a city resident, we get to dump stuff. We’ve posted about this before.

Air up the tires to compensate for the weight of the load. That long dent in the side of the BAT was done by me, last Fall, attempting to return my library stuff to the garage drop box at the Mid-County branch. Bad idea.
We loaded up our trusty buckets with the plaster debris and filled up the bed of the truck.

Off we go with about 30 full buckets- 5 gallons x 30 buckets = 20 cubic feet x 100 pounds per cubic feet = 2000 pounds!
At the dump, each bucket got emptied into the dumpster, trying not to smell the nasty old carpet already in there. That light breeze comes in handy.

Lift, dump, repeat.

Empty buckets secured

Tires returned to their regular pressure.
Good ol’ BAT! It was a lovely day for a trip to the dump!
Yeah, Tom, ditto, Rick! Maurine
If that’s what you call a dent Sue, I would hate to see what you consider a wreck !!
I’m more surprised you guys haven’t figured out how to put a dumpster on the loading dock ?
And where was Tom’s breathing apparatus ?
