We’ve been spending a bit of time cleaning off the roof on the weekends, when the weather cooperates. Tom, up on the roof, fills buckets, loads them into the wheelbarrow, moves them to the parapet, then lowers them down to me in the alley.

This tasks has given me time to ponder the utility of these buckets.

Catching leaks, which we fortunately don't need so much anymore.

There are many more uses for these things.

The only way to get stuff up on the roof is lifting over the side of the parapet or up the roof ladder. These are handy for hoisting all the small things we bring up there.

And then there is this Tom-made contraption.

Very handy chunks of plastic!

I’m happy that they aren’t all just catching drips!
